PdfParse vs Airparser

Airparser and PdfParse both extract with AI from fields you describe, so neither needs templates. The differences are in what happens around extraction: how documents are routed, where the rows live, and how many pages you get for the money.

20 free pages. No credit card required.

Choose PdfParse when

  • You want more pages for your monthly budget.
  • One inbox receives several document types that need routing.
  • You want rows in linked tables you can query with SQL.
  • You want an MCP server agents connect to with OAuth.

Airparser may fit when

  • You need to parse email bodies or HTML, not just PDFs.
  • You want to import past emails from Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP.
  • You rely on Python post-processing inside the parser.

The short version

Same idea. More pages, routing, and real tables.

01

More pages for less

Airparser's Business plan is $179 a month for 2,000 credits, and Premium is $299 for 5,000. PdfParse Pro is $79.99 for 3,000 pages, and Enterprise is $129.99 for 10,000.

02

Route by type from one inbox

Airparser recommends one inbox per document type, and we found no built-in classifier that routes between inboxes. PdfParse inboxes can classify, split packets, and send each document to the table that fits it, with a confidence threshold you set.

03

Line items as linked tables

Airparser returns list fields inside each document's JSON. PdfParse saves line items as rows in a child table keyed to the parent document, so you can join, filter, and query them with SQL or download everything as SQLite.

04

Built for agents and developers

Both have an MCP server. PdfParse's uses OAuth instead of a pasted API key, and its tools cover workflow setup, routing rules, and splitters as well as extraction. The REST API, TypeScript SDK, and signed webhooks are on every plan, including Free.

Switching from Airparser

Run both on the same PDFs first.

You don't have to migrate on faith. Use your free pages on the documents Airparser already handles and compare the rows.

  1. 01

    Reuse your schema

Each field in your Airparser schema becomes a column with the same description. List fields become a linked line-items table.

  2. 02

    Merge your inboxes

Point several single-type inboxes at one PdfParse inbox and let routing rules send each document to its table.

  3. 03

    Compare, then cut over

Review rows beside their PDFs, then move your webhook or Zapier step once the results match.

PdfParse vs Airparser: common questions.
